A review of Royal Mail by John Madden written on Friday 5th of March 2021
I ordered an item from the internet which came via Belgium and Germany, Heathrow then to Grimsby sorting office. Even made it to the correct street. But then for some reason was given to the wrong house.
They apparently know which house it was delivered too, but cant tell us for 'Data Protection reasons' !
This is apparently the fault of the vendor, in Belgium! I asked to believe that a company who's business is internet mail order, gets the invoice and order address correct, but then handwrites and makes a mistake on the delivery label ?
Trying to contact the royal mail to chase this up is impossible. You eventually navigate your way to a form to fill out, go back over the 'mandatory' boxes again. Tick the I am a not a robot box, complete the visual quiz but the submit button then does nothing and the I am a human being box times out, every time !
If you wanted an example of how to make it impossible to provide actual customer service, look no further. This was the first Royal Mail parcel in the last year versus 100's from Amazon and others. Non of those have ever gone missing.
The writing, as they say, is on the wall, but at this rate wont be delivered by the Royal Mail much longer..
